Former and current Elon University community members who were on campus during Sept. 11 speak on their personal experiences as well as how that day changed Elon forever.

The performance in the McCrary Theatre in the Center for the Arts begins at 7:30 p.m. each night.

President Connie Ledoux Book addresses the Elon community on importance of remembering those affected and the everlasting impact made of the attacks on the campus.

Among the events is a roundtable discussion Wednesday featuring President Emeritus Leo Lambert, among others, will be held at Elon Community Church and discuss the long-lasting impact of the Sept. 11 attacks on the Elon campus and its community.

More than 700 graduates from the class, which held a virtual graduation ceremony in May 2020, returned to campus to celebrate the conclusion of their Elon education

The in-person ceremony, sponsored by the Gender and LGBTQIA Center, was held Saturday, Sept. 4, as part of the Commencement celebration for the Class of 2020.

"Reparations: Restorative Justice for Racial Disparities," the theme of the Elon Law Review's 2021 online symposium, takes place virtually on September 24 with legal scholars and advocates discussing the ongoing legal movement to address past wrongs.

The celebration culminates in a Commencement ceremony held Under the Oaks at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5.

The Student Government Association is partnering with two external consultants to develop structural proposals for preventing violence on campus.

Thom Ruhe, president and CEO of NC IDEA, will be presented with the Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership on Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. in the LaRose Digital Theatre.
