Associate Professor Eric Ashley Hairston's latest project takes a deeper look at the way antiquity shaped the ideas of early African-American scholars & writers whose works challenged whites' justification of slavery and disparagement.

Privilege.  Identity.  Social Justice.  The journey begins with you.  Through interactive activities and focused discussions, participants will learn how their identities influence all they do and how to use this knowledge to become agents of change on campus and in our world. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere!” This event is free for all students, faculty, and staff and is part of the New Student Orientation activities this week.
