Associate Professor of Religious Studies Toddie Peters co-edited a volume on undergraduate research titled "Teaching Undergraduate Research in Religious Studies," which offers an introduction to the philosophy and practice of undergraduate research in religious studies and takes up several significant ongoing questions related to it.

Earl Honeycutt, Martha and Spencer Love Term Professor of Marketing, along with Vince Magnini, Virginia Tech University, and Shawn Thelen, Hofstra University, recently published the article "Solutions for customer complaints about offshoring and outsourcing services" in Business Horizons.

Kate McLeod, associate dean for library and information services and associate professor of law, and Patricia Perkins, assistant professor of legal writing, have launched a series of videos designed to help students learn how to draft proper citations to legal authorities.

Tom Nelson's “Prisoners of Plenty” tells the story of German POWs during World War II.

Polly Butler Cornelius, a senior lecturer in the department of music, was a guest soloist at the Norfolk Chamber Consort's 43rd season opening concert on Oct. 3, 2011 in Norfolk, Va. The concert was part of the Ludwig Diehn Series in cooperation with the Norfolk Chamber Consort and the ODU Literary Festival. Cornelius, a soprano, performed selected songs by renowned composer Paul Bowles.

Troy Martin, associate director of Academic Support, presented a paper at the 56th Annual South Atlantic Philosophy of Education Society (www.sapes.org) Conference in Richmond, Virginia.

Chad Awtrey, assistant professor of mathematics, has published a research article in the most recent volume of the International Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics.

An essay by Mathew Gendle, an associate professor of psychology, will be published in the forthcoming issue of The Journal of Undergraduate Neuroscience Education.

Drs. Eric Hall and Caroline Ketcham presented research at the 2010 Society for Neuroscience annual conference in San Diego November 13-17.
