The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning is pleased to announce the recipients of the 10th annual Diversity and Inclusion Grants for the 2021-22 academic year.

Associate Professor Tracey Thurnes and Dianne Person, director of the Anatomical Gift Program presented “Better End-of-Life Conversations: A Mutually Beneficial Educational Experience.”

The Elon University Board of Trustees met on April 9 and granted tenure and approved promotions for several faculty members.

The article, “Eisenstein polynomials defining cyclic p-adic fields with minimal wild ramification” appears in a recent issue of the JP Journal of Algebra, Number Theory and Applications.

Hodnett, who has been at Elon since 2012, had been serving as interim director since Jan. 1.

Morolake (Laké) Laosebikan-Buggs started her duties this winter and offers critical assistance to Elon University and Elon Law’s strategic commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion and antiracism.

Assistant Professors of Public Health Studies Stephanie Baker and Yanica Faustin launched the Health Equity and Racism (H.E.R.) Lab to analyze the roles of "race" and racism as the main contributors to racial health inequities.

Evan A. Gatti, associate professor of art history, presented “Legacies of Privilege: Making Meaning for Medieval Manuscripts” at the 46th annual Sewanee Medieval Colloquium.

Elon Hillel led the university community in honoring and remembering the millions of lives lost in the Holocaust through a series of events to commemorate Yom HaShoah.
