Jeffrey C. Pugh, Maude Sharpe Powell Professor of Religious Studies, and David A. Copeland, A.J. Fletcher Professor and professor of communications, were formally awarded the Distinguished University Professorship at a special investiture ceremony on Nov. 13. 

Paula Weller and Pieter Swanepoel, both of the Department of Accounting, were recognized as scholarship recipients at the Lean Accounting and Manufacturing Summit.

Rosemary Haskell, professor of English, presented a paper at the annual meeting of the South Atlantic Modern Language Association in Atlanta, on Nov. 10.
