Alumni, parents and supporters of the university gathered in David Geffen Hall in the Lincoln Center in Manhattan on Thursday, Sept. 5, to learn more about Elon’s historic fundraising effort.

The generous gift from Lee C. Leckie ’98 and his wife, Angie, will establish a Global Engagement Scholarship, one of the top priorities of the Elon LEADS campaign.

Generous gifts from Glen Bolger and Carol Farquhar P’19 and Jeffrey and Marci McGowen Daly P’20 support one of the top priorities of the Elon LEADS Campaign.

This year saw 80 percent of Elon University employees make gifts to the institution in support of student scholarships, athletics programs and more. The increased engagement comes as Elon pursues its ambitious Elon LEADS Campaign, which seeks to raise $250 million during the next three years. 

Allison Fox ’15 creates scholarship opportunities for women who wish to study business at Elon. The generous gift targets two priorities of Elon LEADS, the largest fundraising campaign in the university’s history.

The fundraising drive held leading up to the inauguration of Book as Elon's ninth president in October 2018 will fund the purchase of 1,000 books for the local school system.
