Students spent the spring semester working on an idea with support from the Maker Hub.  

The Elon sophomore will begin the program that includes extensive physical, tactical and leadership training, this summer en route to become an officer in the Marine Corps following graduation.

Outstanding Elon students, along with distinguished faculty and staff, were recognized for their achievements and contributions to Elon during a virtual version of the campus tradition on Saturday, April 24.

On May 5 from 4 to 5:15 p.m., the Center for Design Thinking and the Center for Leadership are hosting Elon’s 2021 Design Thinking and Leadership Showcase. This year’s session features pedagogical innovations from across two 2021 interdisciplinary faculty learning communities, allowing participants to hear authentic stories of leadership and acquire learning strategies for individualized goals.

The Elon University junior will participate in the Television Academy Foundation program, fondly dubbed the “Emmy’s internship,” this summer.

The Department of Sport Management will host its annual symposium on Wednesday, April 28. The virtual event, featuring a keynote address from influential sport industry figure Oliver Luck, will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Matthew Mitten ’21, a finance and applied mathematics double major and Honors Fellow from Cary, North Carolina, launched Climate Change Apparel to raise awareness of climate change and support environmental charities.

Campus Jewish community affirms commitment to DEI work

The Maker Hub's annual event pivots to several small group workshops and online activities throughout the week.

Their research shows that a higher representation of women in office results in more spending on primary education. That influence is greater when women hold positions of veto power or ability to set a legislative agenda.
