Elon students will have a chance on Tuesday, Aug. 30, to fill out a ballot for topics to be discussed during the three public forums this academic year. 

The poll offers an opportunity for Elon students to conduct important election research in North Carolina.

The more than 1,500 members of Elon's newest class of students gathered Under the Oaks for the ceremonial start to their academic career at the university. 

President Leo M. Lambert's annual video message to the Elon community provides news and updates about the upcoming year.

The panel for current Orientation leaders featured eight Elon alumni and former members of the New Student Orientation team. 

The class participated in a private question-and-answer session with diplomats from each consulate, and students enjoyed robust and instructive conversations on topics of international law and policy.

With help from the university's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic, Y Srai achieved a longtime goal on Aug. 19, 2016, when he took the Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America. 

The new ranking marks Elon's second year of recognition by the Campus Pride organization.
