Christine Fortner, an elementary education major from Virginia, travels to Southeast Asia after graduation to help others learn English as part of a federal program that builds good will between the United States and people of other nations.

Elon University senior Taylor Davis traveled to Boston in March 2015 to present her research at a national biochemistry conference. The Honors Fellow received a student travel award and was recognized in the undergraduate poster competition.

Elon University’s Premier Sport & Event Society brought together professionals from various aspects of the communications, event planning and sports industries on April 7 to share their insight and advice.

Alexandra "Allie" Barteldt will spend the summer in India learning the Hindi language with support from the federal Critical Language Scholarship Program.

Astrophysicist and author Neil deGrasse Tyson headlined Spring Convocation on April 2, 2015, with a passionate defense of science, an analysis of what drives people to accomplish great feats, and advice to students for being lifelong learners.
