Five Elon athletics stars make up this year's class of honorees and will be honored at ceremonies on September 19

The journalism majors’ project, titled “Breaking News: Deconstructing Entertainment Journalism,” has gained attention from online media outlets in the United States and abroad.

Phylicia Pearl Mpasi ’15 becomes a part of the Disney family this summer as she performs with the Broadway National Tour of “The Lion King.”

The Elon University broadcast and new media major was recognized in several sports reporting categories, including Series Reporting and Best Sportscast. 

The coordinator of student media also talked about editing and mentoring student staffs.

A self-described serial entrepreneur, Ryan Vet ’13 and business partner Phil Smith see their latest venture, The Oak House, as an opportunity to foster an intellectual climate in downtown Elon.

In her professional life, the Pace web video writer creates online content for her clients and their audiences. Recently, the Elon University alumna’s work became deeply personal, penning a story about how technology connected her with her estranged mother.

As the culmination of a long-time dream unfolds, Elon alumna looks forward to traveling, pursuing her passions, and fulfilling her desire to learn alongside best friends Belle and Cruella de Vil.

A contingent from Elon University’s School of Communications traveled in May to Marrakesh, Morocco, to provide news coverage of the world’s largest collegiate programming contest.
