Elon Alumni

Kennedy, who earned her elementary education degree from Elon in 2005, is a kindergarten teacher at North Graham Elementary School. On Wednesday, she was named the Alamance-Burlington School System 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year.

Elon University is one of 25 colleges and universities highlighted in the 2010 edition of the Newsweek-Kaplan college guide. This is Elon's second appearance in the guide; in 2006 Newsweek-Kaplan named Elon the nation's "hottest college" for engaged learning.

Elon University students and alumni will find it even easier to connect and take advantage of resources offered by Career Services on a newly redesigned web site that launched Thursday. The new site will help students, parents, and alumni more easily stay up-to-date with the 125+ on-campus programs, workshops, and other events offered each year by Career Services.

Step Afrika, a critically acclaimed professional company best known for promoting an understanding and appreciation of stepping and the tradition's use as an educational tool for young people worldwide, comes to Elon University on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. show in McCrary Theatre.
