When recent graduate Brianna Elder signed on to work in education through the City Year AmeriCorps program, she never imagined she would find herself coping with the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic in one of the nation’s hardest hit cities.

In an effort to put small businesses in the spotlight during the COVID-19 outbreak, the team's pilot episode of Sip’d will air on April 9 and focus on local craft beverage artisans in Durham, North Carolina.

Weird Enough Productions, an education technology company founded by the strategic communications and theatre arts alumnus, is making its lesson plans and activities free for teachers, students and parents as schools close in response to COVID-19.
