A Tuesday celebration of the Phoenix Activities & Recreation Center allowed students and administrators to reflect on expanded programs that are reshaping the Danieley Neighborhood and, more broadly, Elon University’s residential campus experience.

Elon Women’s Club Soccer Defeated Davidson 2-0 on Oct. 18 with strong play by Katey Helwick who scored both goals. On Oct. 25, Elon defeated UNC-Chapel Hill 1-0 to continue their undefeated record of 2-0-3.

Elon defeated Duke 19-0 on Oct. 16 before a double header with William & Mary two days later, tying the first game 3-3 and losing the second 8-5.

On Oct. 25, Men’s Club Rugby defeated WCU 42-19. Justin Snavely, Matthew Conklin both had a try and Billy Kelly had two. Atticus Grinder was named Man of the Match.

Elon outscored High Point 3-2 on October 14, giving the men's team enough momentum to defeat Davidson 4-0 on four days later. Their latest game on Oct. 25 against Wake Forest was won 8-1. This was an important win because it clinched Elon a regional berth for the second straight year.

Elon Women’s Club Lacrosse participated in the Yosef Classic Tournament held at Appalachian State University from Oct. 24-25, playing against ECU, UNCC and ASC.

Elon University's Campus Recreation is hosting a 5K run/walk on South Campus to jumpstart the Thanksgiving season and give back by supporting Allied Churches of Alamance County.

The Phoenix Activities & Recreation Center features a fitness center and an expansive gymnasium that will host neighborhood and campus events.

Almost 700 people participated in this year's afternoon event on Aug. 28.
