Christians at Elon University joined together on Good Friday to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ with a noontime Catholic devotion around Fonville Fountain in the heart of campus. 

Catholic Campus Ministry has invited students, faculty, staff and the community to join in a variety of events marking Holy Week, which begins Sunday, March 25. 

All are welcome to receive ashes during several worship services to mark the beginning the Christian season of Lent. 

Students, faculty and staff are invited to the celebration of "Fat Tuesday" or Mardi Gras.

For students, faculty and staff unable to attend the 12:15 p.m. Ecumenical Service or the 9 p.m. Mass, two brief prayer services with ashes will be offered.
