Victoria Del Gaizo Moore, associate professor of chemistry, was appointed to the Education and Professional Development committee for the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in September.  

A member of the Class of 2016, Alyssa Romano started medical school this summer in Tübingen, Germany. 

The retired assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry died Sept. 20.

Stefanie Miller '17 and Mary Alice Allnutt '18 received awards from the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the National Institutes of Health, respectively.

Phi Lambda Upsilon hosts J. Phillip Bowen from Mercer University

Elon President Leo M. Lambert presented the medallion to five retired faculty and staff members for their meritorious service to the university during an event marking the start of a new academic year. The university also recognized four endowed professorships and two longtime professors were named Distinguished University Professors. 

Kathy Matera, a professor of chemistry, will spend the next two years as the Japheth E. Rawls Professor for Undergraduate Research in Science. 

A manuscript coauthored by Jen Dabrowski, assistant professor of chemistry, on conversion of sugars was featured as an Organic Chemistry Highlight on Organic Chemistry Portal.
