During a two-day visit to campus, Tom Yeager and Dan Schmitt spent extensive time speaking with sport management students and faculty, highlighting their careers working in college athletics and providing guest services at public events.

Elon News Network, which collected two Pacemaker awards, and Phi Psi Cli were recognized by the Associated Collegiate Press and College Media Association during a national student media convention held in Washington, D.C.

Donald Remy spoke to several Elon University classes on Nov. 5, addressing topics related to amateurism, the NCAA’s history and present-day issues facing collegiate athletics.

The assistant professor in the Sport Management Department traveled to Mumbai, India, over fall break to discuss the global sports media landscape.

The Elon alumna will receive the award on Thursday, Nov. 7, and screen her feature-length documentary, “The Limits of My World.”

On Tuesday, November 12 from 3:30-5:30 pm in McKinnon Hall representatives from non-profit organizations, rooted in domestic and international causes, will discuss internships, fellowships, post-graduate, and full-time employment opportunities with Elon students who are passionate about building careers making a difference in the world. 

As part of the Edward R. Murrow Program for Journalists, a dozen African and Caribbean journalists visited the School of Communications on Nov. 5 to learn about journalistic practices in the United States.
