Professor and author Danielle Keats Citron delivered the spring keynote address Thursday night in Elon's Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Lecture program, which aims to promote healthy relationships between young men and women and prevent domestic violence.

Katrina Taylor ’04 is the editor and producer of a documentary titled “Boone,” which chronicles the trials and tribulations of three young farmers working on a small goat farm in Southern Oregon. 

Elon University Lumen Scholar Michelle Alfini visited Rio de Janeiro to analyze the media’s lacking coverage of human rights violations prior to this year’s Olympic Games and fill the void in coverage through her website, RightingRio.com.

Michelle Alfini ’16 traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in March to discuss her scholarly paper highlighting the U.S. media coverage of human rights issues in Russia prior to the 2014 Sochi Games. 

Freelance reporter Emily Feldman led a March 7 presentation on campus, highlighting her work abroad that focuses on the humanitarian crises resulting from conflicts in Iraq and Syria, with a special focus on women. 

The School of Communications professor shared the first part of a co-authored study that analyzes communications efforts of the United States, Mexico and Canada targeted to their diaspora communities in the other two countries.

Seventy-five high school seniors interested in studying communications visited Elon University during Fellows Weekend, held March 4-5, 2016. Following a competitive selection process, 25 students will be named 2016 Communications Fellows.
