Balderas, an assistant professor of journalism, offered analysis about how the scandal that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon impacted the media.

As part of Elon’s participation in the Pulitzer Center’s Campus Consortium, Rainforest Investigations Network Fellows Fernanda Wenzel and Andrew Lehren visited campus Sept. 24-26 to discuss the impact of investigative journalism and working in the news industry.

Several Elon University faculty members have received awards from the Turnage Fund for Political Communication to further their research on political communication and media literacy.

Under the guidance of Elon alumna Serena Archer ’19, the sport management major completed a 10-week internship program in her hometown at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Through a combination of networking, persistence and good timing, the sport management major was able to bring his energy and passion for “Banana Ball” to Buffalo, Cleveland, Durham, Greensboro and his hometown of Philadelphia.
