Career Moves: Cover letter and video land St. Louis Rams internship

Josh Norris' passion for sports was why it didn't take the Elon University senior long to visit Career Services last spring when he learned of a unique opportunity. With help from office staff, Norris polished his cover letter and resume, and just days later the senior communications major had landed a summer internship with the NFL's St. Louis Rams.

“Car Show” class event raises $1,685 for veterans organization

Members of the “Programming and Event Management” class in the Department of Sport and Event Management organized a “Car Show” event at the Holly Hill Mall in Burlington in November, raising $1,685 for the Walter B. Ellis American Legion Post 63.

Michelle Ferrier, associate professor of communications, shared what it takes to develop and run a niche online community at the New Media Women Entrepreneurs Summit in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 8. Ferrier was a winner of the 2009 New Media Women Entrepreneurs competition and received $10,000 to launch LocallyGrownNews.com in May 2010.
