Tony Weaver, assistant professor of leisure and sport management, has been appointed to the Alamance County Tourism Development Authority.

Like so many other students, she knew she wanted to intern this summer, she just didn't know where. She looked and looked. She met with Internship Director Nagatha Tonkins. She did all she could to find something, some place that would be an ideal fit.

Linda Gretton, an instructor in the School of Communications, had an article titled "The Rhetorical Helix" published in this month's Business Communication Quarterly.

Oh, he could tell you, but if he did, he'd probably have to ... Wait, haven't we heard this before? Sounds like an old film and TV character cliché, uttered by some "government man" with secret knowledge of some-such goings-on. The idiom is predictably vague because, quite frankly, you don't get to know the insider knowledge.

Assistant Professor of Communications Lee Bush had her paper "Student Public Relations Agencies: A Qualitative Study of the Pedagogical Benefits, Risks and a Framework for Success" published in the spring 2009 issue of Journalism and Mass Communication Educator.
