Journalism Students Explore Post-Election Washington, D.C.

It was the ultimate post-election trip for 10 students from the two journalism groups at Elon University. The students from the Elon chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and the Radio & Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) toured major Washington, D.C., news outlets and other media sites the week before Thanksgiving. The media tour was sponsored by SPJ, RTNDA and the School of Communications.

Elon students ask NBC to interrupt the Super Bowl

Students who worked the front lines during Wilmington, North Carolina’s early switch to digital television are asking NBC president Jeff Zucker to interrupt the Super Bowl with a 30-second message from the Federal Communications Commission in the lead up to the nationwide transition on February 17, 2009.

Tony Weaver appointed to panel for NACMA

Two Communications Students Win BEA Scholarship

Elon University Commmunications students Shea Northcut and Laura Beth Ward were awarded a Harold Fellows Scholarship from the Broadcast Education Association this week.
