The Emmy Award-winning journalist and on-air talent at Univision Network in Miami has been named co-anchor of the late evening edition of its national newscast, “Noticiero Univision Edición Nocturna.”

The associate professor in the Strategic Communications Department was one of four members on the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications accreditation site visit team evaluating the Cathy Hughes School of Communications in Washington, D.C.

Assistant Professor Kai Swanson and 17 Elon students traveled to Park City, Utah, and Hollywood during Winter Term for an immersion experience into the film and entertainment industries.

To conclude the Winter Term study away course in the Caribbean, this year’s Interactive Media cohort hosted a Jan. 24 presentation to highlight its support of Dove Youth Development, a nonprofit organization that provides educational opportunities and afterschool programs.

With the competition of its accreditation and self-study process, Elon University is one of 35 accredited programs in the U.S. recognized by the Commission of Sport Management Accreditation.
