Four Class of 2025 students turned a cluttered online-shopping headache into OneTap, a Chrome extension built with Elon University’s entrepreneurship resources and now headed for a full-time New York City launch.

Three members of the class of 2025 and one member of the class of 2020 have been selected for the prestigious program that offers opportunities to teach English, conduct research, or attend graduate school in more than 140 countries.

The assistant professor of communication design presented her findings at the 75th Annual Conference of the International Communication Association (ICA) in Denver.

The Elon alumnus makes his directorial debut with “Crusty Fouler,” a psychological drama he wrote, directed and starred in after years of trying to break into the film industry. The film will premiere on Tuesday, June 24, at the Dances With Films festival in Los Angeles.

The 12-day residential journalism workshop supports rising high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in journalism and communications.

The journalism major has been named the recipient of the 2025 Wes Vernon Broadcast Scholarship, recognizing her leadership, reporting excellence, and commitment to public service journalism.

Bryan ’07 and Liz Padgette ’06, Katie Sherborne P’27, and Grant P’27 and Angie Dorfman P’27 contributed more than $300,000 collectively to the new home for holistic health and well-being initiatives. Their gifts will also create scholarships for students.

Since 2008, Elon students have had the opportunity to participate for a semester in Elon University’s fully immersive Los Angeles experience.

The student-led crew’s victory reflects years of growth, technical excellence, and a shared commitment to capturing high-level collegiate broadcasts.
