In her role as director of marketing for AIGA, the Elon alumna and her team are working to provide resources to their members and the wider creative community during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Students in Associate Dean Kenn Gaither’s Public Relations and Civic Responsibility class brought international public relations case studies to life with an asynchronous poster session – accompanied by some kind words for one another.

The program enlists Elon alumni who mentor and advise students as they prepare for internships, careers and post-graduation life. 

Members of the student-run strategic communications agency traveled to Durham in February to hear from professionals presenting at AIGA Raleigh’s two-day creative conference.

Through the power of Zoom video chats, School of Communications alumni – nearly two dozen of them – continue to maintain the connections they first made while producing Elon University’s student-run newscast, “Elon Local News.”

Recently named the CCO of energy company Enbridge, Fernandez spoke to students about starting their careers, landing their first job, and trends in the public relations industry.

The Pendulum and Phi Psi Cli repeat with Best of Show honors at the annual North Carolina College Media Association gathering at East Carolina University.

The public event, set for Wednesday, March 4, will explore today’s cancel culture, the distinction between shame and embarrassment, and the role of media/journalism in public discourse.

Thirty-two Communications Fellows toured 11 companies on a two-week trip to the Sunshine state, speaking with industry professionals, enjoying hands-on experiences, and exploring future job possibilities.
