The MSNBC host and award-winning author visits Elon University in January as part of the 2016 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Beloved Community Celebration, a series of programs that honor the slain civil rights leader. 

Six shows run through the weekend as Elon University BFA dance majors perform original and experimental works in Roberts Theatre of Scott Studios.

The program is free and open to the public.

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic show makes a six-night run beginning Thursday in McCrary Theatre.

Classical musician Itzhak Perlman was introduced Tuesday to his Elon University Fall Convocation audience as a "violin virtuoso" and "a man of great humility." What was to follow over the next hour proved both.

Encouraging young performers to “be flexible” with how they approach their future careers, Itzhak Perlman imparted wisdom Tuesday on Elon University students in Yeager Recital Hall who asked questions of the world’s most recognizable name in classical music.

Tickets are now on sale at the Center for the Arts Box Office for a Fall Convocation that features one of the world's biggest names in classical music.

All tickets for the Baird Pulitzer Prize Lecture with syndicated columnist Leonard Pitts Jr. have been distributed. Elon staff will begin taking names for a wait list at the Center for the Arts Box Office at 6 p.m. on Thursday. You must be present to get on the list and present if your name is called for a ticket. Staff will call names in the order that they are received.

All prospective Study Abroad and Study USA students are welcome to attend the Semester Programs Fair in Lakeside Hall on September 17 from 4-6pm. Information regarding all semester programs and financial aid will be available. Refreshments will be provided and all attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a GoPro.
