As she applies to serve with the Peace Corps in Peru, Lily Merritt, who finishes her degree program this month, is the first student to complete the requirements of a new track focused on global health in Elon University’s Peace Corps Prep Program.

Students in an Elon Core Curriculum capstone course focused on social justice and diversity heard Dec. 1 from business and nonprofit executives who offered advice for starting careers in a global economy where cultural understanding is more important than ever.

Five students and one staff member from the School of Communications provided video and social media coverage for the annual forum that brings together world leaders to discuss topics relating to food, health and prosperity. Two other Elon students attended the conference as fellows.

In its annual ranking, the Institute of International Education recognizes Elon for sending more students abroad than any other master’s-level university in the United States.

The Elon community gathered Nov. 9 to celebrate the Hindu festival of Diwali in the McBride Gathering Space of the Numen Lumen Pavilion.

Women's and Gender Studies becomes Women's, Gender, and Sexualities Studies; announces enhanced vision, curricula and programming

Supported by a grant from the Diversity Infusion Project through Elon's Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, three seniors and three professors are trying to answer why women show less interest in taking philosophy courses or pursuing philosophy as a major.

The Elon Black Alumni Network honored five members of the Elon community during its annual celebration Oct. 17 as part of Homecoming weekend.

The Global Ambassadors-hosted event allowed interested students to discover available semester Study Abroad and Study USA programs and to learn from program alumni.
