Sarah Alger ’17 and Samantha Perry’18 joined Professor Cynthia Fair in the Department of Public Health Studies at the 22nd International AIDS Conference in Amsterdam where the group presented research. 

Margaret Chapman and Paula Patch gave multiple presentations at the annual conference of the Council of Writing Program Administrators.

Lynn Beck, Clay Stevenson and students collaborated with Winston-Salem Symphony musicians to record James Stephenson’s “Fanfare – Light from Shadows" providing a dynamic soundtrack for community service award winner John Beck’s documentary video.

More than 50 Elon undergraduates were joined by several from other colleges and universities participated this summer in SURE, one of Elon's signature undergraduate research opportunities. 

Carmen Monico, an assistant professor of human service studies, was among thousands of scholars from around the world who attended and presented at the XIX World Congress of Sociology held in July in Canada.

The department's winter show written by Christine Evans and directed by Kim Shively returns for spring term performances in Roberts Studio Theatre, Arts West.
