A fall semester “Garden Studio” course organized a Friday afternoon of food and festivities in the Elon Community Garden to celebrate the season.

A fall semester "Garden Studio" taught by Elon University faculty member Michael Strickland is again hosting a popular community event that celebrates the sights, smells and tastes of autumn.

Work on biodiversity on farms presented at Ecological Society of America 

The associate professor of environmental studies and biology was awarded a one-year grant for $25,000 to develop a regional network of locally produced foods.

An annual Strawberry Festival and Heirloom Plant Sale hosted by a "Garden Studio" course proved popular with the campus community on the final Friday of classes for the 2015 spring semester.

The final Friday of classes this spring gives members of the campus community time to enjoy strawberry treats in the Elon Community Garden with an opportunity to win raffle prizes such as garden benches and basil pots.

A seasoned traveler and dedicated environmentalist, Colby Halligan ’15 has overcome personal loss to challenge world hunger as a student and beyond.

Elon's representatives presented information in April at the University of Georgia about their partnerships with the Loy Farm and Alamance County community agencies. 

An array of solar panels on university property will generate nearly 3 megawatts of electricity.
