The North Carolina Mu chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Elon University was honored with the Student Organization of the Year Award during the 21st annual Organization Awards and Inauguration Ceremony.

The Black Student Union and the Omicron Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and will host their second installment of the N-Word Forum on Wednesday, March 16, at 7 p.m. in the McBride Gathering Space of the Numen Lumen Pavilion. 

The Omicron Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., is fundraising for ZanaAfrica, a nonprofit organization that helps provide reproductive health education and resources to young women in Kenya.

North Carolina’s Mu chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon received the Donald C. McCleary Excellence in Member Development Award this month in Atlanta at the national fraternity’s annual Carlson Leadership Academy.

Jordan Burnham, a survivor of a suicide attempt whose story on ESPN was nominated for an Emmy Award, will visit Elon University to talk with students about the stigma surrounding mental illness.
