Elon students design products that could improve lives through engineering design experience

Collaboration between Elon’s Engineering Program and the Department of Physical Therapy Education offers students an opportunity to connect engineering design work to the health sector. Students are partnering with people in the community who have mobility limitations and designing products intended to make their daily activities more efficient or achievable.

Three awarded the Elon Medallion, the university’s highest honor

President Connie Ledoux Book presented the medallion to a retired faculty member, a retired staff member and a long-time Cone Health executive and supporter of the School of Health Sciences. Faculty members selected for named professorships were also honored as the faculty/staff Planning Week got underway. 

Elon to host Global Education Symposium on Oct. 25

This year’s symposium will feature David Wong, associate professor in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education at Michigan State University. Wong’s area of interest and expertise include intercultural competence, global learning, and the impact of study abroad experiences.
