Elon Hillel is hosting an Israeli dinner in celebration of Israel Independence Day, with  guest speaker, Liat Srur, NC Hillel’s Israel Fellow.  

A top advisor in three U.S. presidential administrations, Stuart Eizenstat’s remarks were part of celebration marking the first year of Jewish Studies at Elon.

Elon University is hosting several events from April 8-12 as part of its annual commemoration of the 6 million lives lost during the Holocaust.

Monday, April 8, A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF THE KINDERTRANSPORT with DR. HENRY LANDSBERGER, 7:00-8:00pm, Yaeger Recital Hall.    Dr. Landsberger survived the Holocaust as a part of the Kindertransport, a program which helped save the lives of 10,000 Jewish children from Germany  by relocating  them to safe foster homes, hostels and farms, albeit separated from their parents.  He is UNC-Chapel Hill Professor Emeritus of Sociology. 

On Monday, April 8, Elon Hillel has organized the annual "READING OF THE NAMES" from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on the stairs of Moseley.

Tuesday, March 12, 4:30-5:30pm, Geoffrey Claussen will lead a discussion on Jewish dietary laws at the Sklut Hillel Center.
