Holocaust Remembrance Day: 'Reading of the Names' – April 8

On Monday, April 8, Elon Hillel has organized the annual "READING OF THE NAMES" from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on the stairs of Moseley.

In 10-minute intervals, students, faculty, and staff will read names of Holocaust victims aloud for eight hours.  Reading the names of the men, women, and children killed during the Holocaust is a symbolic yet very personal way of remembering these individuals.  Please sign up for a 10-minute period to read on this google doc.

This event is part of the Days Of Remembrance 2013, Holocaust Remembrance Week at Elon University.  The U.S. Congress established the Days of Remembrance, April 7-14, as our nation’s annual commemoration of the Holocaust.  Elon University will observe Holocaust Remembrance Week with the rest of the country.
