Professors in the Departments of History & Geography and English met in LaRose Digital Theater to reflect on the Queen’s life, global politics and the possible futures ahead for the monarchy, Commonwealth and former British colonies.

Ferris, the Joel R. Williamson Eminent Professor of History Emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the former chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, will present on his book and exhibit, “I AM A MAN: Photographs of the Civil Rights Movement, 1960-1970.”

The Power and Place Collaborative is a partnership between Elon University, Burlington's Mayco Bigelow Center, and the African American Cultural Arts and History Center. Students interviewed community members and edited their oral histories into short videos.
