On Sunday, Feb., Elon hosted students, faculty and staff from Elon and the community for the opening of the Tournées French Film Festival: Join the Résistance!

In 'Understanding the Recent Executive Order on Immigration,' a panel discussion hosted Feb. 6 at Elon Law, three university faculty members outlined the potential effects of President Donald Trump's approach to immigration in the name of national security.

Led by Associate Professor Julie Lellis, nine students in the “Mindful America, Mindful Elon” course traveled to Massachusetts during Winter Term to study how mindfulness is practiced and then bring those experiences back to campus.

During a three-week Winter Term course, titled “Business of Baseball and Tourism in the Dominican Republic,” two dozen students examined issues relating to neo-colonialism and globalization while traveling in the Caribbean nation.

A 5:30 p.m. panel discussion at Elon Law in Greensboro and streamed live to main campus will give the community an opportunity to ask questions of scholars who have closely followed the impact of President Donald Trump's recent decrees.

Through the LSB Center Abroad in China, students completed a semester abroad, taking business courses and completing an internship while living at East China Normal University.

During their Jan. 25 presentations in Turner Theatre, graduate students in the Interactive Media master's program discussed their Winter Term “fly-in” projects and their experiences traveling to Costa Rica, Iceland and the Dominican Republic.

The Winter Term course for first-year Business Fellows at Elon includes a global engagement piece with site visits in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. 

Two Elon Law classes traveled overseas in December to witness firsthand the many opportunities - and complexities - of practicing international law and working in intellectual property.

The Winter Term course offering through the Study USA program at Elon focuses on getting a firsthand look at the political process and learning from a broad range of professionals working in the nation's capital.
