Elon Elementary is launching its own student council and has teamed up with Elon’s SGA for guidance, inspiration and collaboration.

Elon University recognized four members of the Elon community for their excellence in teaching, scholarship, civic engagement and mentoring.

The Division of Student Life celebrated the accomplishments and contributions of its staff members during the annual Student Life Year-End Celebration on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

Elon University is featuring a variety of photos every month to highlight the exceptional learning, work and activities of students, faculty and staff.

Several students were recognized by the Kernodle Center for Civic Life for their commitment to community engagement and service.

An Xbox, three and a half tires, a trash can and a chair, along with 18 bags of trash, were collected by 17 Elon employees during a recent cleanup in Alamance County.

By making service exploration more intentional, this tool empowers students to make a lasting impact while growing personally and professionally throughout their undergraduate experience and beyond. 

Christine Emery '93 has spent her life volunteering and couldn’t be prouder of her decision. She has given back to her community through several roles in non-profits, and with Elon University helping to establish Elon Volunteers.

Every year, Elon University’s Kernodle Center for Civic Life hosts Alternative Break programs, allowing students to participate in community service projects around the world.

McKibben, environmentalist and author, will speak at on April 23 at 7 p.m. in Alumni Gym.
