Students to help local residents during tax season

Elon University undergraduate students are taking part for the first time this winter in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program to assist eligible community members with preparing their tax returns.

Campus Kitchen receives CoBank Rural Hunger Outreach Grant

The $5,000 grant will help student volunteers continue to provide 200-plus meals to community members each week through a collaborative relationship with Allied Churches of Alamance County and the Community Services Agency of Alamance County.

Students bring Salvation Army kettle bells to campus

Led by Elon University sophomore Annie Segal, students volunteering for the Salvation Army collected more than $100 this fall while also gathering gifts through the nonprofit's Angel Tree and Stocking Stuffers programs. 

Elon Dining Services donates holiday meals

In coordination with Campus Kitchen at Elon University, Elon Dining Services staff prepared and packaged nearly 1,000 meals for distribution to those facing hunger in Alamance County the week of Thanksgiving.
