The Distinguished Leadership Lecture Series presented by the Joseph M. Bryan Foundation returns for Elon Law’s 10th anniversary year with a November 2016 visit by NBC correspondent Ronan Farrow, followed in April 2017 by retired U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

American Bar Association President Linda Klein visited Elon Law on Monday for a special luncheon with some of the school’s top students and legal leaders from the North Carolina Bar Association and the Greensboro Bar Association.

Fifty students took part in an annual competition that challenged participants this fall to argue the merits or mistakes of prosecutorial decisions in a fictional murder case.

The Hon. Patricia Timmons-Goodson, a former associate justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court nominated by President Barack Obama to serve as a federal district court judge, received Elon Law’s 2016 Leadership in the Law Award.

Three former chief justices of the North Carolina Supreme Court - today members of the Elon University School of Law Board of Advisors - shared personal and career stories to new students enrolled in an August legal leadership class.

With help from the university's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic, Y Srai achieved a longtime goal on Aug. 19, 2016, when he took the Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America. 

The school's Faculty Leadership Fellow shared with national leaders in engaged learning about Elon Law's Leadership Fellows Program and the way experiential education is integrated into the classroom.

Elon University School of Law’s associate dean for experiential learning and leadership took part in a panel discussion on leadership education at a symposium hosted by the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Elon Law has added five accomplished lawyers to its national advisory board, bringing insight from decades of experience in an array of law practice areas to advance the Law School’s groundbreaking approach to legal education.
