Elon students win national business ethics competition

Elon University senior Charley Costa and junior Stephen Azar won top honors last week in the 2010 Eller Ethics Case Competition, a prestigious national contest hosted by the University of Arizona and featuring many of the top-ranked undergraduate business schools in North America. It is the second time in as many years that Elon students took first place in the competition.

Alumni share career advice in Homecoming visits

In what has become a Homecoming tradition for successful young alumni, graduates of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business and the School of Communications shared career tips and life advice Friday in "wisdom sessions" for current students as part of Homecoming 2010. Alumni from the School of Education held a similar program Saturday morning prior to the official start of football festivities around campus.

Harris Jr. shared stories from his career Wednesday in a ceremony to honor him as the second recipient of the Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
LSB Students Named Finalists at World Collegiate Sales Competition

Love School of Business students Gregory "Carl" Hairston and Tyler Reynolds have been named as finalists for the World Collegiate Sales Competition, to be held November 11-13 at Northern Illinois University. Only 16 students nationwide were selected as finalists. Students Priscilla Abad and Lindsay Richardson were named semifinalists for the upcoming competition.

Venture capitalist and former NASA astronaut Dr. Bernard A. Harris Jr. will address students, faculty and students in an Oct. 20, 2010, ceremony to honor him with the Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership. Sponsored by the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, the program in Whitley Auditorium is free and open to the public.
