Doherty Center co-hosts Social Entrepreneurship Workshop at Purdue University

Jim Goodnight, chief executive officer of North Carolina-based SAS, the world’s largest privately held software company, will be presented April 9 with the first ever Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership after his a presentation to faculty, staff and students on "Managing for Creativity: Attracting & Retaining Knowledge Workers."

Earl Honeycutt, the 2008-2009 Distinguished Scholar at Elon, takes the latter view and shared his views April 6 in an annual program for recipients of the award.

Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour visits campus – April 14

Three of the nation’s top young entrepreneurs visit campus April 14 for a half-day conference to help students, faculty, staff and others in the community with an interest in starting their own enterprises. Registration is now open for the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour, presented by the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Student Entrepreneurial Enterprise Development (SEED) student group.

Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was a featured speaker and moderated the lead panel discussion launching the 2009 MIT Global Startup Workshop in Cape Town, South Africa held on March 25.

Love School of Business earns AACSB reaccreditation
