Fair trade symposium set for Feb. 18-21

Academic and business leaders from around the region will host a three-part symposium next week on fair trade practices and work conditions in foreign countries that supply goods to the United States. The symposium culminates with a panel discussion on the North Carolina textile industry’s struggle to stay profitable as it follows fair trade practices.

MBA student team conducts survey for Alamance schools

Elon MBA students partnered with the Alamance-Burlington School System over the fall to measure how well local residents understand the way school budgets are created. The five classmates, as part of their graduate work, reported to system leaders that few people know how public schools receive and spend annual funds.
