Alyssa Martina, director of the Doherty Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is the first recipient of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation’s  Engaged Faculty & Staff Award, established this year to recognize “extraordinary engagement in Sullivan Foundation programming.”

Reno, founder and CEO of Feather, will be presented with the Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership on Tuesday, April 4.

Associate Professor Elena Kennedy, Elon’s Doherty Emerging Professor of Entrepreneurship, shared how specific strategies developed by residents and business owners have created “civic wealth” for a popular Alamance County community only a short drive from campus.

The study looked at the nature of the relationship between technostress (defined as the mental stress associated with using information and communication technology (ICT) on the job) and negative outcomes (e.g., dissatisfaction, burnout, intent to turnover).

Six students from the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business finished third this winter in a regional undergraduate bracket of the 2023 Venture Capital Investment Competition hosted by James Madison University.

David Goslin, a managing director with Deloitte Consulting LLP, will mentor and advise business students on their career options while guest lecturing in 2023 Spring Semester business courses.

Thanks to a cross-campus collaboration, School of Communications students Ian Myers ’23, Melanie Meisner ’23 and Elizabeth Daria ’23 designed a digital billboard for the Mark Schonwetter Holocaust Education Foundation and its charitable initiative, Journey for the Living.

Joshua Mason ’24, Emmet Owen ’24, Ashley Josey ’25, Eddie Keefe ’25, Nathaniel Lerman ’25 and TJ Mathis ’25 will work to increase Elon campus engagement with innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity and design thinking.

Students in Elon’s Agile Project Management course successfully passed the Professional Scrum Master I certification exam, proving their knowledge, understanding and ability to apply Scrum in the real-world.
