Trocki, associate professor of mathematics, presented his research at the Forty-Fifth Annual Meeting of the North American Chapter of the International Group for Psychology of Mathematics Education on October 2.

Professor Crista Arangala from the Department of Mathematics & Statistics will oversee a new program designed to teach data competency through campus centers and academic programs that support student learning and faculty development. 

Emily Elrod, Kristen Mazur, Brittany Riggs and Aaron Trocki presented at MathFest, the annual meeting of the Mathematical Association of America, Aug. 2-5.

Elrod, lecturer in mathematics and statistics, was named a 2023 Project NExT Fellow through the Mathematical Association of America.

Clark, professor of mathematics, attended the Mathematical Association of America's MathFest and, as chair of the Committee on Minicourses, supervised the minicourses offered there. He also presented a short paper on visualization in teaching abstract algebra.

Six members of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics presented at the 10th United States Conference on Teaching Statistics at The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania.

Hunter is one of the members of the graduating class to be featured on Today at Elon as a "profile of resilience" for her ability to adapt and succeed in the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The senior arts administration major presented her findings at the 2023 Southeastern Theater Conference on March 1 and the 2023 Spring Undergraduate Research Forum at Elon University on April 25.

Hunter, a public health and statistics double major, an Odyssey Scholar and a Lumen Scholar, will pursue her master’s degree at University College London next academic year.
