President Connie Ledoux Book joined Vice President for Student Life Jon Dooley for a Fireside Chat in the Great Hall on Monday, March 26. 

Book, who began her term as Elon's ninth president on March 1, visited Newlin Elementary School and Eastlawn Elementary School where she met with students, teachers and staff. 

On her first day in office, Elon’s new president was on hand for the final regular season intercollegiate basketball game in Alumni Memorial Gymnasium. The game ended in a big Phoenix win.

President Book shared breakfast with staff and students as she started her tenure on Thursday, March 1.

T. William "Bill" Morningstar Jr., who served under three Elon presidents as a coach across multiple sports, was honored at the 11th annual Night of the Phoenix.
