Physician Assistant Studies - Elon

Elon’s School of Health Sciences welcomed two new classes of graduate students to the university community this week. 

The White Coat Ceremony marks the start of intensive clinical learning experiences for the 38 members of the program's Class of 2018. 

The School of Health Sciences hosted an interprofessional education session on Wednesday, Nov. 30, that included students from the Elon Physician Assistant Program, the Elon Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and the Alamance Community College Nursing Program.  

The Underserved Populations Symposium hosted by Elon's Physician Assistant Studies program is in its fourth year. 

Chelle Jeffery, a Greensboro-based physician assistant, discussed the benefits of advanced practice providers, highly trained clinicians who work in all specialties of health care. 

Congratulations to Class of 2018 PA Student Steven (Kyle) Fleener who has been notified that he was selected for a highly competitive National Health Service Corps scholarship.

The Sept. 24 fun run, 5K and 10K race is hosted by the Elon University's Physician Assistant Studies program to benefit the clinic that cares for more than 600 uninsured Alamance County patients annually. 

Congratulations to Amber Race, Elon PA-S 2 who received a scholarship from the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA).

The master’s program in Elon’s School of Health Sciences has successfully completed a rigorous review process by ARC-PA, the accrediting agency for PA programs.

Thirty-seven candidates in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program received degrees Sunday in a Whitley Auditorium ceremony featuring remarks by Cynthia Booth Lord, past president of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
