Performing Arts

A look at the work of several recent graduates in the field of dance. 

Elon has 28 music theatre alumni who can currently be seen this fall/winter in 11 different Broadway shows and 14 national and international tours including "Hamilton," "Mean Girls," "Hello Dolly," "Wicked," "The Book of Mormon," "Dear Evan Hansen," "The Lion King," "Les Miserables," "CATS," "Aladdin," "Cinderella" and more.

Matt Pardo, assistant professor in the Department of Performing Arts, was interviewed for the Sepetmber 2017 issue of Dance Teacher magazine. 

Matt Pardo, assistant professor in the performing arts department, will head to Pittsburgh to stage a Lucinda Childs work on the Conservatory Dance Company for their 2017 winter concert. 

Elon welcomes playwright for masterclass, public lecture and talkback for a performance of "American La Ronde."

Artemis Preeshl, assistant professor of performing arts, was appointed to the advisory board of the Voice and Speech Review published by Routledge/Taylor and Francis.  

Barrett Wilbert Weed '11 will play Janis Sarkisian in the Broadway adaptation of the 2004 cult classic.

Artemis Preeshl, visiting professor of performing arts, teaches dialects in the Department of Performing Arts. 

Students will perform site-specific choreography in, with and around the sculptures located in front of Arts West on Oct. 7.

Assistant Professor Kim Shively presented her research and practice on actions with embodied meanings as part of the Acting Focus Group Pre-Conference on Best Practices at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education's annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, in August.
