Elon students Jazmine Langley '19 and David Duncan '19 are among 20 students selected to participate in Duke Law School's inaugural Prelaw Fellowship this summer.

Elon President Leo M. Lambert presented the medallion to five retired faculty and staff members for their meritorious service to the university during an event marking the start of a new academic year. The university also recognized four endowed professorships and two longtime professors were named Distinguished University Professors.

The trio of students participated in Elon's ROTC programs, which are offered in collaboration with N.C. A&T State University. 

Greg Sutton '14, who majored in political science and international studies while at Elon, will travel to Indonesia as part of a federal program that builds goodwill between the United States and people of other nations. 

The spring Elon University Poll also delved into issues including firearms on private property, the legal smoking age, climate change, HB2 and craft beer distribution.

N.C. voters also weighed in on whether the U.S. should accept refugees from Syria and the benefits of global economic engagement.

A panel of political science faculty will discuss the start of Donald Trump's presidency during a panel discussion on May 4 at 4:15 p.m.  in LaRose Digital Theatre.

The Elon University Poll surveyed more than 500 N.C. voters about whether they viewed the president's use of Twitter as appropriate, and his claim that the media is the "enemy of the American people."

The survey conducted April 18-21, 2017, also found that N.C. voters oppose Trump tweets and border wall with Mexico.
