Elon's ninth president, Connie Ledoux Book, delivered her address during her inauguration on Oct. 18, an event that drew thousands to the new Schar Center. Find the full text and a video of her address here. 

The focal point during a celebration lasting through Oct. 20, Thursday's inauguration ceremony in Schar Center drew thousands to mark this significant milestone in the university’s 129-year history.

Members of the campus community are invited to play table tennis with President Connie Ledoux Book on the Moseley Center tables each month.

President Book offers this video message as the Elon community returns to campus following Hurricane Florence, which devastated the coastal areas of North Carolina and South Carolina and has caused widespread and catastrophic flooding. 

In her first opening address as Elon's president, Connie Ledoux Book focused on planning for Elon's future while being mindful of the past. Book delivered the address August 20 to a crowd of faculty and staff gathered in the new Schar Center.
