The Psychology Department supports faculty as they scaffold writing assignments across their curriculum

Three Elon faculty members affiliated with the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning presented at the 42nd annual conference of the POD Network in Higher Education held Oct 26-29 in Montreal, Canada

Amy Overman is associate director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning and associate professor of psychology and neuroscience.

The Gerald Francis Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year is awarded by the Student Government Association (SGA) Academic Council to recognize a faculty member who exemplifies excellence within teaching and mentoring.

The findings are for projects related to ongoing research on associative memory by Overman, an associate professor of psychology and associate director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.

India Johnson, an assistant professor of psychology, has been awarded a small research grant through the Society for Personality and Social Psychology and has co-authored a recent paper in the Journal of Experimental and Social Psychology.

The endowed professorship is funded by the estate of the late Isabella Cannon ’24, a former mayor of Raleigh, N.C.
