Google vice president and Internet pioneer Vint Cerf will give a talk about the future of the Internet and the "Internet of Things" at Elon on Sept. 30. He will also be honored for nearly 50 years of Internet leadership as Elon's Imagining the Internet Center will award him its first Areté Medallion. 

Journalism major Lindsay Kimble ’13, a digital writer and reporter for the celebrity news outlet, spoke with American swimmers Conor Dwyer and Maya Dirado, highlighting a variety of topics, including Dirado’s decision to retire.

The 2016 NABJ and NAHJ Annual Convention and Career Fair in Washington, D.C., brought together nearly 4,000 current and aspiring media professionals, including four Elon University students and seven alumni.

The cinema and television arts major enlisted the services of more than a dozen Elon University friends and collaborators to help produce a 30-second film that captures the emotions of the movie-going experience for the 2016 Coca-Cola and Regal Film Program.

 The award-winning work of Michelle Alfini '16 brings light to human rights violations surrounding this summer’s Olympic Games in Brazil.

The School of Communications graduate produced his documentary, “A House Without Snakes,” as part of the 2014-15 Fulbright-National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellowship. The film hosted its world premiere in April at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham, North Carolina.

Following his selection as one of three finalists, the Elon University graduate received $15,000 to produce a 30-second film that captures the emotions of the movie-going experience.
