School of Communications Alumni

Five members of the Elon University community and one School of Communications graduate attended the 12th annual conference of The Forum on Education Abroad.  

The Los Angeles-based technology consultant noted that his connection to his alma mater continues to grow with every passing year, thanks to the friends and mentors he found on campus.

Al Drago '15 was honored with four regional wins in photography categories.

The reporter at KOMO-TV in Seattle and recipient of four regional Emmys during his television career presented one of his awards to Communications Dean Paul Parsons to display in the school’s lobby.

The College Media Association honored the student news organization with an Apple Award, and a School of Communications staff member and alumnus offered presentations at the convention.

Winners will know if their work will enter the national contest in April.

Senior journalism major Gary Grumbach and Kate Murphy '15 were both honored in the same multimedia competition.

Katrina Taylor ’04 is the editor and producer of a documentary titled “Boone,” which chronicles the trials and tribulations of three young farmers working on a small goat farm in Southern Oregon. 

Katie Zach ’04 and Leanne High ’07 visited campus to talk about their past experiences and current roles working in the public relations field, giving students insight into the professional world. 

For the second consecutive year, students studying in the Elon in LA program got an inside look at the festivities leading up to the Academy Awards, the film industry’s biggest night of the year.
